I read somewhere that Quote:
PARALLEL just gives the number of parallel slaves that work on your import,
so you can use it as far as you have enough io bandwith and cpu power,
just try it as this is test system.

can you explain what is parallel slaves/threads here and also what is and how to determine io bandwith ?

What don't you understand in parallel slaves/threads?
How you determine io bandwidth depends on your OS, ask your sysadmin.

And this is NOT a SQL question, post your topic in the appropriate forum.
