hi to all, i asked one question before but i want to ask again that when i started EM it shows oracle database is down. how to up it.

First, you need to do a reality check: is the database up or not? DB Control is famous for giving incorrect information on this rather important point. If it is not up, then start it. Problem solved.

Second, if the database is any fact up, restarting the DB Console with the emctl utility is probably the easiest way to correct what it is reporting.

Third, why use DB Control at all? It was such a rubbish admin tool that it no longer exists in the current versions of the database.
